Paddle Down Goaltending Joining Forces with Xtreme.

The Ashburn Xtreme is pleased to announce that we have contracted with Paddle Down Goaltending for the 2021-22 season.
PDG was formed by Nick (1989) and Sean Thompson (1991), two former Ashburn Xtreme goalies who backstopped teams to USA Hockey Nationals in 2006.
The Paddle Down Goaltending staff hold a combined 20 years of competitive hockey, including Junior A, Junior B and ACHA D1 & D3 experience, and over 13 years of combined coaching experience.
The PDG team will work with our goalies seven hours per week over our three practice days. In addition, they will also be running six goalie specific in season training clinics during our Wednesday night skills time slot (a 100% increase over last season).
PDG goalie staff will also be available for additional private and semi-private lessons by way of having access to morning ice on Monday/Friday during the September-June time period at the Ashburn Ice House.
We look forward to having a long working relationship with a respected group of goalie training professionals. They have verifiable credentials and a passion for the teaching of young goalies!
