Ashburn Xtreme CBHL / AHF / EJEPL / Southeastern District / State / USA Hockey Championships

The information below details the achievements of our Ashburn Xtreme teams since the club began with the 2002-03 season. The list includes championships won in our local league (CBHL), our district (Southeastern), our state (Virginia), and our participation in USA Hockey National Championships.

The Ashburn Xtreme joined the Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League (EJEPL) for the 2016-17 season. This league was our primary means of scheduling non-CBHL exhibition games with the added benefit of competing for an EJ Regular Season and Playoff Championship each season. During the 2018-19 season, all Xtreme birth year teams (Squirt to Bantam) and all Midget AA teams competed in the EJEPL (9 teams in total).

Starting with the 2021-22 season, the Ashburn Xtreme left the EJEPL to join the Atlantic Hockey Federation for its inaugural season of play.

As of April 4, 2022 the Ashburn Xtreme has won the following number of titles:

1. The Ashburn Xtreme U18 AA team (2012-13 Season) won the USA Hockey Nationals in Hartford, CT on Sunday April 7th, defeating the Florida Jr. Panthers by a score of 5-1. 
2. The Ashburn Xtreme U18 AA (2014-15 Season) won the USA Hockey Nationals in Troy, Michigan on Monday March 30 defeating Team Ohio, in overtime (GWG by Keegan Kelly), by a score of 4-3.
3. The Ashburn Xtreme 16U AA #1 team (2020-21 Season) won the USA Hockey Nationals in Grand Rapids, MI on Monday May 3rd, defeating the Rogue Warriors (NC), in overtime (GWG by Kyle Tinschert), by a score of 5-4.
4. The Ashburn Xtreme 18U AA #1 team (2020-21 Season) won the USA Hockey Nationals in Green Bay, WI on Monday May 3rd, defeating the Northern Cyclones (NH) by a score of 4-1.
5. The Ashburn Xtreme 16U AA #1 team (2021-22 Season) won the USA Hockey Nationals in Troy, MI on Monday April 4th, defeating the Maine Gladiators (ME) by a score of 6-3.
