The Ashburn Xtreme 16U AA #1 and 18U AA #1 teams both won a USA HOCKEY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS this morning, with the wins coming within one hour of each other.

The 16’s (coached by assistant Bill Hughes, with head coach Gary Pouliot leading the 18’s in Green Bay) won 5-4 in overtime vs the Rogue Warriors in Grand Rapids, MI. The OT game winner was scored by 2005 birth year Kyle Tinschert…who is also the youngest player on the team.

This is the first 16U National Championship in the clubs history and 4th overall.

Our 18U AA #1 team (coached by Gary Pouliot) defeated the Northern Cyclones from New Hampshire 4-1 (in Green Bay, WI) to claim this years title!

The 18’s previous USA Hockey Nationals wins occurred in 2013 and 2015.
